Harold and Phyllis Howard of Westwood celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 19, 2008.
They were married Sept. 19,1958.
She is the former Phyllis Dickison. She retired in 1996 from Russell Board of Education.
He retired in 1990 from Kentucky West Virginia Gas Co. and also in 2006 from HGH Appraisal Services. He served with the Kentucky National Guard.
Both are members of First Baptist Church of Russell and are actively involved. They love traveling. They just returned from a trip to California and other western states.
They are the parents of three children, Jean Ann Vawter of Mooresville, N.C., Rhonda Reneé Morgan of Bardstown and Randall C. Howard of Ashland; and they have nine grandchildren, Joshua, Carra, Jarrett, Justin, Katie, Courtney, Lauren, Madeline and Dawson.
