C.M. “Jack” and Dixie Lee Jackson of Ashland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 22, 2008.

The couple were married on Aug. 22, 1958, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Ashland by the Rev. G.R. Tomlin.

He is the son of the late Claude M. and Edna Jackson. He is retired from Uniroyal Tire Co. and served four years in the U.S. Air Force, where he served in Korea.

She is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Jordan.

They are both members of Centenary United Methodist Church.

The couple moved to south Florida in West Palm Beach in 1962 and returned home to Ashland in 2005.

In April 2008, a surprise dinner was hosted at the Florida Club in Stuart by Shelia Stahl and friends. On Aug. 28, 2008, the couple took a seven-day trip to Hawaii, visiting all four big islands traveling on the ship Pride of America from Norwegian Cruise Line.
