Ronnie and Doris Alcorn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 9, 2008.
They were married Aug. 12, 1958, at the home of the groom’s sister and brother-in-law, Spark and Faye Stanley, on Oakland Avenue in Catlettsburg.
A reception was hosted by their children and their families at the home of Jamie and Lois Alcorn.
Mrs. Alcorn is the former Doris McKnight.
Mr. Alcorn served four years in the U.S. Air Force and retired after 37 years of service with Armco/AK Steel in 2000.
They are both members of Wolfe Creek Baptist Church and they enjoy traveling, camping, outdoors and spending time with their family.
They are the parents of Robin and Bill Arrowood of Cynthiana, Rhonda and Gary Sebach of Powell, Ohio, Bunnie and Greg Ray of Stanford, Jamie and Lois Alcorn of Flatwoods and Joe and Diane Alcorn of Catlettsburg and they have seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
