David and Donna Sherman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2008, with a surprise party with 70 friends and family members at the Chimney Corner Restaurant in Ashland. The party was hosted by David and Susan Sherman and Sheila and Paul Frinak.
They were married on Nov. 29, 1958, in Ironville.
He is retired from AK Steel in Ashland.
In the summer, they enjoy being with their family and friends and they also enjoy camping and boating on the Little Sandy River. Since retirement, they live in Florida during the winter months. They enjoy their second home in Zephyrhills, Fla., where they like to ride their bikes, play bingo and go to dinner with their friends.
They are the parents of a son and daughter-in-law, David and Susan Sherman of Richmond, Ky., and a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Paul Frinak of Simpsonville and they have two grandchildren, Eric Frinak, 17, and Kyle Frinak, 15.
