Ronald and Frances Rogers Jackson of Ashland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 27, 2008.
The couple were married on Dec. 27, 1958, at the Hitchins Pilgrim Holiness Church by the Rev. William Parsons (Uncle Bill).
He is retired from AK Steel with 33 years of service. He worked in the coating department.
She is a homemaker and a former employee at Lazarus in Columbus and Daily’s Jewelers. She teaches the “Cross and Crown” class at Rose Road Chapel. She is the daughter of the late Rev. Virgil and Ethel Rogers.
They both attend Rose Road Chapel and are volunteers at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
They are the parents of Rhonda Jackson (Dennis) Carmon of Ashland and they have a granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Carmon, a junior at the University of Kentucky.
A reception was held at the Kentucky Farmers Bank by her daughter and family on Dec. 27, 2008. They were roasted by their son-in-law, Dennis Carmon. Music was by Lowell Jackson, guitarist; singing by the Joyful Three; Chapel Bells and Temple Bells.
