Walter and Jean Geyer of Ashland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 2, 2009.
The couple were married in Ashland on May 1, 1959, by George E. Blair.
He is the son of the late Albert and Cora Bullion Geyer and is retired from A.C. Lawrence Leather.
She is the daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Pennington Gollihue. She was employed by the Bluegrass Grill and is a homemaker.
They are both members of the Church of Christ in Cannonsburg.
They are the parents of Mike (Jenny) Geyer, of Ashland and Shirley (Randy) McGranahan and David (Karen) Geyer, both of Willard; and are the grandparents of Josh (Amanda) Geyer, Jared (Carisa) Geyer, Tiffany Adams, Daniel Geyer, Sara Geyer, Ryan McGranahan, and the late Jessica Bullion. They are the great-grandparents of Gavin Adams and Holly Quinn Adams.
An open reception in their honor will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Days Inn in Cannonsburg.
