Bill and Ruth Dixon of Ashland will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 9 with a reception at Westwood Christian Church in the family life center. They were married on Feb. 27, 1959, in Palmetto, Fla. They also renewed their wedding vows on Feb. 27, 2009, in Palmetto.
The celebration will be hosted by their granddaughter, Amber Parker.
He is the son of the late Tommy and Thelma Dixon and is a U.S. Navy veteran and is retired from Armco Steel.
She is the former Ruth Holbrook.
They are both members of Westood Enterprise Baptist Church.
They are the parents of Terri (Alvin) Parker of Ashland and Peggy (Scott) Blount of Vero Beach, Fla.; and they have five grandchildren.
