Charles and Sharon Stevens Hammond of Flatwoods will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on May 28.
The couple were married in Flatwoods at the Flatwoods Baptist Church by the Rev. Earl Neal on May 28 1959.
He is retired from AK Steel and served in the U.S. Navy, and the son of the late George and Addie Hammond.
She is retired from Russell Independent Schools and the daughter of Chester and Mable Stevens of Flatwoods.
They are the parents of Tim and Regina Hammond, and Michelle and Joseph Campbell both of Russell.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren, Timothy Hammond II and Cameron Campbell.
