Clark


John and Virginia Brown Clark celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 6, 2009.

They were married at Pine Street Methodist Church in Ironton on June 6, 1959.

He is retired from CSX and AK Steel in Ashland. He enjoys maintaining their small farm, spending time outdoors and reading his Bible. He is from the Flatwoods area.

She is known for her beautiful gardens, incredible cooking and fine home-grown vegetables. She is originally from the Ironton area.

They both enjoy spending time with their family and friends and are active with the Old Regular Baptist Church.

They are the parents of Pamela Clark Estep of South Bend, Ind., and the late John Paul Clark Jr.; they have two grandchildren, Mark A. Estep II of Ashland and Kimberly Nolette of Valdosta, Ga.; and one great-grandson, Jackson Moore of Williamstown.

A surprise gathering of family, friends and neighbors was held at the Best Western River Cities in Ashland on June 7 hosted by their daughter Pamela and grandson Mark.
