ASHLAND — Clarence “B.B.” and Anna Cooper of Ashland recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married Nov. 3, 1961, at Central Baptist Church in Ashland by the Rev. Lee A. Gore.

Mr. Cooper is the son of Lillian Webb Cooper Swann and the late Thurley Oswald Cooper. He is a retired electrician with AK Steel Co.

Mrs. Cooper is the daughter of Juanita Gibson and the late Robert Gibson. She is a retired executive secretary with AK Steel Co.

They have four children, son J.R. (Marilee) Cooper of Ashand, daughter Angela (the late Grant) Ramey of Ashland, daughter Tina (Pete) Leighty of South Point, Ohio, and daughter Stephanie (Mike) Carter of Ashland. They have seven grandchildren.

They celebrated with a trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C. Their children honored them with a candlelight dinner at Angelo’s Italian Restaurant where they were serenaded with Dean Martin’s “Everybody Loves Somebody.”
