ASHLAND —
Harvey (Tom) and Onda Pennington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Feb. 23, 2012, with a dinner including a champagne toast and wedding cake at Gary’s on Spring in Louisville.
Joining them were their three children and spouses: Harvey and Pat Pennington of Crestwood, Robert and Kim Dunaway of Louisville and Ashley and Tara Witt of Irvine.
The couple were married in Winston Salem, N.C., and raised their family while he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. After 21 years of service, he retired and they settled in Flatwoods. He then went to work for CSX Railroad. In 2006, they moved to Louisville to be closer to their children.
They have eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one very special, but expensive dog, Arod.
