Allen and Carol Helton will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Jan. 12.
The couple were married Jan. 13, 1963, in Wise, Va.
They are the parents of Lisa Squires of Fletcher, N.C., and Randy Helton of Flatwoods.
They have two grandchildren, Jason Calhoun and Dale Squires.
