Donald W. and Bernadine Vickers Howes of Ashland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married on March 18, 1960, in Flatwoods.
He was employed for 38 years at AK Steel in the shipping department. He is the son of the late H. Dexter Howes and Irma Howes.
She is the daughter of the late Revilla (Dolly) Vickers.
They are both members of Centenary Methodist Church.
They are the parents of Timothy of Louisville, Jerry of Wurtland, Kevin of Ashland and John of Ironton. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In celebration of their anniversary, their son, Jerry, gave them a train trip to The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia.
