ASHLAND —
Vernon and Bessie Cooper Leeper marked their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday, May 11, 2012.
The couple were married in the parsonage by the Rev. Norman A. Ritchie on May 11, 1962.
Mr. Leeper is the son of the late Zane and Betty Peffer Leeper of Mount Pleasant, Penn. He retired after 34 years of service at AK Steel.
Mrs. Leeper is the daughter of the late Henry and Garnet Estep Cooper of Ashland. She is a homemaker.
The couple are ham radio operators, enjoy traveling and spending time with their family and serving the Lord. They are members of First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland.
They have two children, Kathy (Steve) Moore and Dale (Jody) Leeper, both of Ashland, and four grandchildren, Brandon Moore, Brittany Moore, Abby Leeper and Isaac Leeper.
