ASHLAND —
Billie Joe and Thelma Shepherd Prater of Ashland, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary by attending a family dinner with their loving family.
The couple were married July 20, 1957, in David.
The Praters have two daughters, Sharon (Mike) Hambrick and Tina (Terrence) Ward; and one granddaughter, Sarah Hambrick.
Mr. Prater served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He is retired from Columbia Gas Company, formerly Inland Gas Company.
Mrs. Prater is a wonderful homemaker. She enjoys cooking and is known as the “dumpling lady.” She and also enjoys gardening.
