ASHLAND —
Mr. and Mrs. Marvin and Lenora Chapman Meredith celebrated their 60th anniversary on Nov. 21.
They were married Nov. 21, 1952, in Catlettsburg First Church of the Nazarene on Center Street.
Mr. Meredith was a teacher at Russell Independent Schools, a basketball coach for 30 years and a golf and track coach for 15 years. He also was a Sunday school superintendent and Boyd County Commissioner.
Mrs. Meredith was a second-grade teacher for Russell Schools, president of Nazarene Missions and a Sunday school teacher.
They have two children, Terry Meredith (Terri) of Flatwoods and Silesia Damron (David) of Catlettsburg.
They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
