ASHLAND —
Paul and Nell Stringer of Ashland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner hosted by their children at Chestnut Hills Restaurant in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Those attending the dinner were Faye Barker, Mr. Stringer’s mother, and his sister, Linda Barker of Ashland; others attending were Anita Baker of Ashland, Taylor Smith of League City, Texas, and Josh Santrock of Barboursville, W.Va.
The couple were married on Aug. 18, 1962, at the First Christian Church by the Rev. J.S. Faulkner.
The Stringers are the proud parents of two sons, Paul E. (Sandy) Stringer Jr. of League City, Texas, and Richard Alan (Lori) Stringer of Ashland. They have four grandchildren, Kaitlin Stringer of Ashland, Ben Stringer of League City, Texas, and Leslie and David Stringer of Ashland.
Mr. Stringer retired from Ashland Oil and Mrs. Stringer retired from Ashland Independent schools.
