Ronald and Cidney Jordan Alexander of Ashland will celebrate their 40th anniversary with their family.
They were married Aug. 2, 1969, at Chapman Methodist Church with the Rev. Willie Hayes officiating.
He is the son of Inez Alexander of Catlettsburg and the late Russell Alexander. He is a Vietnam veteran.
She is the daughter of the late George and Bernice Jordan. She is retired from Fairview Baptist Church.
They are both members of Fairview Baptist Church.
They are the parents of three children, Michelle Stepp, Nancy Alexander and Ronald Alexander II, all of Ashland.
