Ronald L. and Rosemary Conley celebrated their 50th golden wedding anniversary on Aug. 1, 2009, with a dinner party given by their children.
The couple were married on Aug. 1, 1959, at the Second Baptist Church in Ashland by the Rev. Robert Elliott.
He is the son of the late Cecil C. Conley and Mary Conley.
She is the daughter of the late Frank L. Arthur and the late Roberta Arthur.
They are the parents of Ronald L. Conley Jr., Mary Lou of Georgetown, Gregory Alan Conley, Belinda Gail Hunt, Carl, Cynthia Conley Jones and Brent, all of Ashland.
They are the grandparents of Christopher Lee Hutchinson II and Ashley Nicole Hutchinson, both of Richmond; Eric Alan Conley of Ashland, Joshua Austin Cooper of Lexington, Kaitlyn Jo Conley of Columbus, Steven Anthony Conley and Morgan Renee Hunt, both of Ashland; and one great-grandaughter, Olivia Marie Hutchinson of Ashland.
He is retired from AK Steel and Toyota Motor.
In addition to being a wife, mother and grandmother, she worked part time in nursing, was a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and does volunteer work for various fundraisers.
They are both members of Unity Baptist Church.
