Ray and Kathleen Pennington celebrated their 72nd wedding anniversary on Sept. 24, 2012.
The couple were married on Sept. 24, 1940, in Catlettsburg.
Mr. Pennington retired from Fannin Glass. Mrs. Pennington is a homemaker.
The Penningtons are the parents of Lillian “Lil” (Larry) Adams. They are the grandparents of David (Becky) Pennington of Gahanna, Ohio, Earl Pennington of Catlettsburg, Jessie Lynnette (Doug) Stevens of Catlettsburg and the late John D. Pennington. They have four great-grandsons, Aaron and Nate Stevens and Bud and Michael Pennington; and one great-great-granddaughter, Kylie Stevens.
