Jessica Shepherd of Ashland announces the birth of a daughter, Kaylyn Makenzi Jo Shepherd.

She was born Feb. 23, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. She weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19.25 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her big sister, Brooklyn Shepherd, who is 3 years old.

Maternal grandparents are Kathy and Jim Phillips of Ashland and Bill and Pam Love of Raceland. Maternal great-grandparents are Ed and Carolyn McKinney of Rush and Bill Love Jr. of Oak Hill, Ohio.
