Dean Jackson has been named pastor of Westwood Christian Church located at 424 Wheatley Road.
He and his wife, Lisa, have two children, Daniel and Timothy. He preached his first Sunday on June 11.

Rosie Blevins, a certified nursing assistant at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, was honored at the Kentucky Association of Hospice and Palliative Care annual conference in Lexington on May 22.
She received the Above and Beyond Award.
A five-year employee of Community Hospice, she is certified as a Hospice Care Nursing Assistant and is enrolled in the nursing program at Ashland Community and Technical College.

Debbie Stephens, public school administrator and district drug coordinator with the Elliott County Board of Education, has been elected a new board member of the Pathways Inc. Board of Directors.
She joins 19 other concerned citizens in the 10-county region who serve on the board at Pathways.
