Ashland — Modern Healthcare magazine, a leading U.S. health care journal, has placed King’s Daughters Medical Center No. 5 on the national list of the 100 Best Places to Work in Healthcare.
This is the first year of the award honoring the most outstanding health care organizations in the nation.
The award focuses on organizations that allow team members to perform at their optimum level while providing patients and customers with the best possible care and services.
KDMC is the only hospital to make the list in our service area; the largest employer of the top eight rankings nationally; and is one of only two Kentucky hospitals on the list (there were no West Virginia hospitals and only five Ohio hospitals).
“This is a true testament to the unique environment we have created here at King’s Daughters,” said KDMC President/CEO Fred Jackson.
“It is truly the dedication and loyalty of our entire team of nearly 3,900 people that drives our quest to be a world-class health care organization. To continue to earn national recognitions based on our quality and culture speaks volumes about our organization and the dedication of the talented people who work here.”
Jackson said KDMC is recognized by Fortune, Thomson Reuters, HealthGrades, Foster McGaw, the Best Places to Work in Kentucky and many accreditation organizations “because of our team members’ commitment to our patients, their families and fellow teammates.”
