AT&T adding 20 jobs at East Park call center

GRAYSON — Gov. Steve Beshear said Wednesday AT&T will add 20 full-time customer service representatives at its East Park call center in Grayson.

AT&T also is hiring an additional 38 full- and part-time positions at retail stores in six Kentucky communities, including Bowling Green, Owensboro, Lexington, Louisville, Corbin and Winchester, according to the governor’s office.

“We’re pleased to see job growth in Kentucky involving such a world-class company as AT&T,” Beshear said. “These jobs across the state will provide the opportunities many Kentuckians need right now as the economy continues to recover and grow.”

The Grayson area call center, which opened in 2001, employs more than 500 and handles inbound customer sales and service calls, such as billing issues and technical support, for customers across the country. AT&T plans to begin filling positions this month.

“As AT&T continues to invest in our network and expand our customer base in Kentucky, we’re committed to providing excellent customer service,” said Mary Pat Regan, president of AT&T Kentucky. “We are dedicated to making sure that our customers have the best resources to stay connected at work or play.”
