Ashland — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Burglary
‰Police arrested two women on Christmas Day for allegedly breaking into a house in the 300 block of Ferry Street.
Sharon K. Allen, 51, of Greenup, and Sharon A. Stambaugh, 28, of the 1900 block of Hickman Street, were lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, charged with second-degree burglary. Both remained in custody on Tuesday, according to the jail’s Web site.
No other details were immediately available.
‰A woman living in Vincent Apartments, 2341 Winchester Ave., reported Monday someone had broken into her home and stolen computer equipment valued at $200.
‰A woman living in Hillcrest Apartments reported Monday an unspecified item valued at $234 was stolen in a burglary.
‰A woman living in the 200 block of 31st Street reported Friday an unspecified item valued at $70 was stolen in a break-in at her residence.
‰A man living in the 2100 block of Dixon Street reported Thursday an electronic item valued at $900 was stolen in a burglary.
‰A man living in the 1800 block of Hickman Street reported Thursday an electronic item valued at $1,300 was taken in a burglary.
‰A woman living in the 3400 block of Blackburn Avenue reported Thursday a pair of unspecified items valued at $28,000 had been stolen in a burglary.
Theft
‰A man living in the 5400 block of Apple Blossom Lane reported Monday an unspecified item valued at $30 had been stolen from his car.
‰A Chesapeake woman reported Sunday her purse was stolen at Ashland Town Center. The purse was later recovered, but its contents, which included $335 cash, were not.
‰An Ashland woman reported Sunday her purse was stolen at Wal-Mart.
‰Two women — one from Lucasville and the other from Hitchins — reported Sunday items were stolen from their vehicles while they were parked in King’s Daughters Medical Center’s 23rd Street parking garage.
‰A woman living in the 1800 block of Lexington Avenue reported Saturday an electronic device valued at $100 had been stolen from her vehicle.
Shoplifting
‰A Grayson woman was arrested Monday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $41.99 from Wal-Mart.
‰A Wurtland woman and a Flatwoods woman were arrested Sunday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $42.83.
‰An Ironton woman was arrested Saturday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $313.31.
‰An Ironton man was arrested Saturday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $5.97.
