Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Shafer of Flatwoods announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Stephanie Shafer, to Jaime Diaz, son of the late Jimmy Diaz and Wanda Rolon.
The wedding will be May 30, 2009, at Central Park in Ashland.
The bride-to-be has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Marshall University and a Master’s degree in physical therapy from the University of Kentucky. She is employed by Angelton Danbury Medical Center as director of physical therapy in Angelton, Texas.
The groom-elect served in the U.S. Marine Corp with eight years of active duty, where he achieved the rank of sergeant. He is employed with Halliburton Energy Services in Houston, Texas.
