James and Rachel Rasbery of Baton Rouge, La., are proud to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Jeanne Marie Rasbery, to Michael Payne Wages, son of Bob and Kay Wages of Raceland.
The bride-to-be is a graduate of St. Michael’s the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge, Centenary College of Louisiana in Shreveport and Rice University in Houston with a Ph.D. in biochemistry. She is employed by the University of Kentucky as a postdoctoral scholar.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Raceland-Worthington High School and received his degree in computer science from Transylvania University. He is employed by Lexmark in Lexington as a software engineer.
The wedding will be Sept. 5, 2009, in Baton Rouge.
