Shawn Burgbacher of Las Vegas, formerly of Flatwoods, and Carla Blanchard of Las Vegas announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride-elect, daughter of Roberta Sandoval and Marc Blanchard of Merced, Calif., is a 1996 graduate of Merced High School and graduated from Apollo College in Las Vegas. She is a registered nurse.
The prospective groom, son of LuAnne Burgbacher of Ironton and John Burgbacher of Flatwoods, graduated from Russell High School in 2000 and studied criminal justice and theater at Ashland Community College. He is employed at Car Studio, Inc.
The wedding will be on Oct. 14, 2012, at the Sanders Winery in Pahrump, Nev.
