ASHLAND —
Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Serey III of Ashland announce the engagement of their son, Robert Joseph Serey IV, to Julie Ann Hafer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hafer of Elizabethtown.
The future bride graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education. She is employed as a third-grade teacher at Creekside Elementary in Sonora and will receive her master’s degree as a reading and writing specialist in December 2013 from the University of the Cumberlands.
The future groom received a bachelor of science degree in accounting and finance from the University of Kentucky and will receive his MBA in May 2013 from the University of Kentucky. He is employed as an accountant at Thomas and King Inc. in Lexington.
The couple will wed on June 22 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lexington with all festivities at the Hyatt Regency.
They will reside in Lexington.
