Professors’ views were not sought
In your effusive editorial praising the Kentucky Community adn Technical College governing board for deciding to eliminate tenure for new hires within the system, it is noteworthy that you made no effort to poll professors about their views on the subject of tenure. Wouldn’t that have made sense? You might be surprised at the results.
Don’t feel too badly about your oversight. The board paid no mind to the professors, either.

Curious about an old girlfriend
I recently ran across some old photos of friends and girlfriends I knew in the Ashland area back around 1954 and 1955.
One was of a girl I had dated named Sharon Buckley, who lived in Catlettsburg. I wouldn’t get over how I still remembered her name after 50 years.
I have been wondering whatever happened to her. If anyone can help me with information on her, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am getting to the age where I can’t look over things without pursuing them. This has been bothering me. I hope someone can at least tell me something about her life.
My e-mail address is reblevines@pocentral.com.
