On behalf of the Rose Hill Christian School Beta Club, I thank those who attended, participated in, or contributed to our 12th annual talent show. It was a great success, and all of the proceeds will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
First, I my appreciation goes to the Beta Club members who worked so hard to prepare for and put on a wonderful show. They’re outstanding young men and women who also raise money for the Children's Hospital Fund, work with the Jump for Heart and Hoops for Heart Programs, and host two blood drives each year. Second, I thank the students, staff, friends and family of RHCS who gave of their time and resources.
Lastly, I want to thank our sponsors, including Mining Machinery, Ashland Area YMCA, Chick-Fil-A, Texas Roadhouse, Applebee’s, Sophia’s, and Denise Paulus. We are so blessed and thankful for the generosity of our school and community.

It's great to know that despite the hard economic times that we now live in, there are still many people that care for the area.
Such is the case of Lori and Jimmy Grizzle and Paul Worthington. As cutbacks are more and more prevalent these days, these individuals of Greenup Amvets Post 95 and Greenup VFW Post 1168 respectively, stepped up to save the Greenbo Lake Easter Egg Hunt.
On behalf of all of us here at Greenbo Lake, we thank all the members of the Amvets and VFW for keeping Easter memories in the eyes of all children, both young and old. And please join us for this year’s hunt Easter Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. at the Greenbo Amphitheater.

On behalf of the staff, students and volunteers at Morehead State Public Radio, we thank everyone who supported MSPR's spring rundraiser and membership drive. Gifts from our listeners helped us raise more than $37,000.
These financial gifts will assist MSPR in the purchase of programming and new equipment while enhancing the learning opportunities for our Morehead State University students. Listener gifts will also enable MSPR to apply for ongoing support from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
We thank the community volunteers who answered phones and welcomed guests and the many regional businesses and community organizations for their gifts of support. We value the many comments from our listeners to help improve MSPR’s news, information and entertainment programs unique to this region.
Financial gifts and comments to MSPR are always appreciated with an online pledge form available on our Web site at www.msuradio.com.

Words cannot express the depth of our gratitude to the veterinarians and staff at Tri State Animal ER in Kenova and Colonial Animal Hospital in Flatwoods.
We had the unfortunate circumstances of needing their services Sunday, April 5, when my mother’s West Highland terrier was brutally and viciously attacked by her neighbor’s pit bull, who jumped my mother’s chain link fence.
I am amazed at how cold-hearted people are that they knew their dog had mangled this little tiny dog but yet let her lay there until my mom arrived home five hours later from work. The injuries were so extensive Shelbie had to be put to sleep while in my mom’s arms 24 hours later.
Thank you Animal ER and Colonial. God bless you for your compassion, tenderness and the willingness to keep fighting for the lives of our furry four-legged companions until the end!

Our brother, Carl Potter, recently passed away after losing his battle with cancer.
His wife, Jessie, son Kenny, daughter Dena and the rest of his family thank all the people who came to our needs with sympathy and support during our time of grief.
Carl was born and raised in Greenup County but spent his adult like in St. Paris, Ohio. When we brought him home to his final resting place, and outpouring for his family and the meal were overwhelming. We thank all who were there for us.
Della L. Tucker, Charlie Potter, Argillite
