I thank the LEAD program of Ashland for supporting Garry Booth and his “Character Counts” magic show. Through their generous donation, Mr. Booth performed for our students here at Russell Primary.
The students learned valuable lessons of honesty, kindness, respect and dependability. His program also includes making wise choices in real life situations such as saying, “No,” to tobacco, alcohol and drugs. He reminds children throughout his performance that all choices have consequences.
I can highly recommend this program and again I want to express my sincere thanks to Steve Burton and the LEAD program for providing this free to our students.
Debbie Finley, principal, Russell Primary School
Veterans thank Tom Wolfe and McDonalds for taking the time to remember us. We will never forget the trip to Washington D.C..
We also thank Becky Carpenter and Ron Wroblewski or making the trip so pleasant, and Paul Sloan for safely driving the bus to and from Washington.
We thank the children from Holy Family School for the snacks and the American Legion for the blankets.
We thank everyone at the Winchester Avenue McDonalds for all the hard work they did for us with the band, the red carpet and the food.
Again, we thank everyone who had a part in this.
David Miller, on behalf of veterans, Ashland
