National debt can’t be repaid

We can comprehend a million, but what about a trillion? Webster tells us that each denomination above one million is one thousand times the proceeding denomination. Simply stated: One billion is one thousand times one million and one trillion is one thousand times one billion.

It’s been reported that if we spent $1 billion dollars since the birth of Jesus at the rate of $1 million a day, we’d still have money left over. How about our national debt which is in the trillions plus interest? It can never be repaid.

It does not make any difference whether we have Democrats or Republicans in power. The ones we trusted to represent us have betrayed us and bankrupted this nation. Are we on the brink of fascism, socialism, communism and the gulag labor camps — all of which is based on a godless society?

The federal government generates its money through taxation, borrowing money or printing money. The politicians generate crisis through deception to justify their actions.

The American people have lost jobs by the millions while others struggle just to put food on the table. Our politicians, however, live in luxury and scheme to take away our constitutional rights.

If we do not repent and turn back to God, terrible judgment is coming to America. We desperately need God’s blessings as never before. Our church leaders need to stop their smooth sermonizing and call our people back to prayer and fasting.

God has promised to heal our land if his people will humble themselves and pray, seek his face and turn from our wicked ways. Then He will forgive our sin and will heal our land.

The Bible story of Jonah and Nineveh tells us they repented and God withheld his judgment. God cannot lie. God cannot change.

City workers made farewell possible

We were recently allowed to have a final farewell in Central Park at the bandstand for Bruce Craft, a friend to many and loved by all who knew him. Our thanks goes to Sean Murray, Amber Berry, and others in the Recreation & Parks Department, Ashland city employees, the Ashland Fire Department and Donna Suttle at South Ashland Greenhouse, who all gave of their time for this event.
