Words of thanks — 03/06/10

Sincere thanks and appreciation are extended to the superintendent of the Raceland-Worthington Independent School District, and the board of directors and Director Susan Brown of 21st Century for the privilege of attending the Young People’s Concert sponsored by the Woman’s Club of Huntington in cooperation with Marshall University and the Cabell County Board of Education.

Christian Smith, 15, pianist from Hurricane, W.Va., was this year’s winner of the competition and a role model showing that hard work pays off. Hats off to Christian and the symphony orchestra for a treat we will all remember.

Kathleen Chamis, teacher, 21st Century Violins, Raceland- Worthington Schools
