On behalf of the George M. Verity Middle School 8th-grade football team, I thank both locations of Tim Hortons for allowing us to have a car wash on Saturday, August 15.

The support shown by Tim Hortons and the community in helping us raise money for equipment purchases was overwhelming. We appreciate the donations that were received and the words of encouragement that were offered to our players. I also thank the 8th-grade Boosters for their help in making this event a success.

The family of Margo Johnson Dove wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at the Woodland Oaks in Ashland for the excellent care they gave to Margo during her illness and at the time of her death.

We are so grateful to have had access to this nursing care facility which has allowed the family to have quality time with Margo while the staff labored to provide its skilled nursing care, balanced meals, clean clothes and a clean and comfortable room and bed that felt like home.

The staff has become our extended family, and we are truly grateful for their loving care.
