ASHLAND — The Ashland Youth Ballet will present its Spring Concert 2010 at 7 p.m. March 23 at the Paramount Arts Center.
The show will feature a variety of dance styles; junior and senior company dancers, along with younger dancers selected from an open audition, will present the company works.
The junior company tells the story of “Some Pig,” an adaptation of the children’s classic “Charlotte’s Webb.” Well-known contemporary Appalachian and bluegrass music and musicians will help tell the story.
The senior company will dance two pieces. One is a neo-classical ballet choreographed by Krissy Johnson, a former company member who now dances with the Nashville Ballet. The second piece, titled “Caravan on Land,” comes from the company’s repertoire and was choreographed by Beth McNeil, a freelance teacher and choreographer.
Tickets are available at the Paramount box office or by calling (606) 324-5432.
