ASHLAND —
Let Your Voices Sing Gospel Night will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Highlands Museum and Discovery Center.
The event is meant to celebrate African-American music, born through spirituals and work songs of slavery.
During the event, John Carpenter will be available to sign autographs and answer questions about his collection sports memorabilia collection on display at the museum titled “African American Sports Heroes.” One of the largest private collections in the world, his collection has been recognized by “Ripley’s Believe It or Not.” It includes memorabilia featuring Michael Jordon, Kobe Bryant and others.
