ASHLAND —
The 10th annual Sounds of Christmas benefit concert and dinner is scheduled for Dec. 15 at Bellefonte Country Club.
The event, which will begin at 6 p.m., includes a sit-down dinner, silent auction and live entertainment by Nashville singer-songwriter Stephen Salyers and twice-Grammy nominated James Otto, whose single, “Just Got Started Lovin’ You,” was named the number one country single of 2008, according to Billboard magazine.
In addition, “The Voice” of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman, and his wife, Amanda, will make an appearance.
Owner and general manager of Fannin Automotive Chris Fannin and his wife, Amy, are chairman and chairwoman of the event.
Other honored guests will include:
‰Kathy Setterman, executive director of the Paramount Arts Center, who will receive the Honorary Troubadour Recipient Award. The Troubadour Award is given to one individual each year for his or her outstanding support of the children of the Tri-State and support of the foundation.
‰Gaylord Keen, long-term board member of the Stephen Salyers Charities Foundation.
Preceeding the dinner will be the third annual Sounds of Christmas 5K Race/Walk at 9 a.m. Dec. 8 in Russell. Registration onsite is $25; pre-registration will be $18 at tristateracer.com.
Tickets are $75 per individual; sponsorship opportunities ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 also are available.
