ASHLAND — Free audiobook downloads offered

ASHLAND - A new service offered through the Boyd County Public Library will allow readers of young adult material to “sync” that literature into their headphones — with two free audiobook downloads available each week all summer.

The free downloads, available at AudiobookSync.com, pairs bestselling young adult titles and required reading classics. Two free audiobook downloads are offered each week through Aug. 22.

Each week’s free audiobook pairings will include a popular YA title and a classic that connects with the YA title’s theme and is likely to show up on a student’s summer reading list. For example, Laini Taylor’s “Daughter of Smoke and Bone,” the first book in a series about a girl who opens a door to two otherwordly cities at war, will be paired with Charles Dickens’ “A Tale of Two Cities.”

A free bookmark containing a complete listing of all the summer’s SYNC titles is available at any library branch. Find out more by going to AudiobookSync.com, and get title updates by texting synca to 25827.
