ASHLAND —
The Miss Ashland Area Scholarship pageant will be at 8 p.m. Saturday at Raceland-Worthington Cultural Arts Center at Raceland-Worthington High School.
Emceeing the event will be Miss Kentucky Jessica Casebolt. Entertainment will be provided by Tammy Jo’s Dance Studio’s award-winning Senior Company.
Admission is $10 per person; those 12 and younger will be admitted for $5.
Vying for titles will be:
Teen
Tyra Short, 16. Her talent is singing and her platform is Friend of Coal.
Erika LeAnn Fraley, 15. Her talent is American Sign Language and her platform is Building Positive Self Esteem.
Hannah Vance, 16. Her talent is singing and her platform is Salvation Army: Feeding the Hungry.
Miss
Lyndsey Cook, 18. Her talent is jazz dance and her platform is The Humane Society.
Madison Ryan, 19. Her talent is singing and her platform is autism awareness.
MaKenzie Day, 19. Her talent is singing and her platform is Change for Change.
Nicole Pennington, 18. Her talent is singing and her platform is heart health awareness.
Hayley Franklin, 22. Her talent is singing and her platform is Relay for Life.
Aly Wheeler, 17. Her talent is singing and her platform is “Love’s not Supposed to Hurt: Breaking the Cycle of Violence.”
Kathryn Wilhoit, 19. Her talent is musical theater and her platform is Read for Life.
Kayla Rivera-Pascual, 19. Her talent is singing and her platform is Autism Speaks.
