AARF collecting items
ASHLAND - The Ashland Animal Rescue Fund is collecting old printer ink cartridges of any size and aluminum cans as a fundraiser for the organization.
Cartridges may be dropped off at the AARF kennel on Ky. 5 or Ashland Animal Clinic on 13th Street.
Aluminum cans make be dropped off at the AARF kennel alongside the building.
Proceeds from these two ongoing fundraisers will benefit the medical fund.
Council moves its office
HUNTINGTON - The Southwestern Community Action Council has moved its office to Huntington.
The agency, which helps workers 55 and older in Kentucky and West Virginia re-enter the work force, continues to serve the Ashland area.
