ASHLAND —
The Pendleton Art Center’s deadline for bringing a painted or carved pumpkin to the center for display on First Friday is Oct. 1.
Pumplins on display also will be judged. Cash awards will be presented in age categories — for those 12 years and younger and for those 12 years and older.
The pumpkin contest is part of the First Friday art walk, which will be 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 5. It also will be open on Second Look Saturday, which will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 6.
The center is at 1537-1539 Winchester Ave.
