Gardener/author to visit Grayson

GRAYSON — Backyard Bloomers of Grayson will sponsor a visit by gardner and author Karen Angelucci at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at Carter Caves State Resort Park.

A Fayette County Master Gardener, Angelucci volunteers for The Arboretum at the University of Kentucky and The Hope Lodge. The Cynthiana native is the Arboriculture Chairman for the Garden Club of Kentucky and for the South Atlantic Region Garden Clubs. She also is a member of Soil Mates Garden Club and is chairman of the Lexington Tree Board and of LFUGG Corridors Commission.

Angelucci is the author of the book

“Secrets of a Kentucky Gardener.” “I created my book to help myself and other get a grip on their landscape so they could reap the rewards as I do,” she said. Her new book is “Secrets of Tennessee Gardening.”

Copies of Angelucci’s books will be available for sale at the event.

Cost to attend is $5. Light refreshments will be available.
