The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Endangerment
‰Police on Wednesday arrested a man for allegedly holding a knife to a woman’s throat during an argument.
Wesley D. Kindt, 36, was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on a charge of first-degree wanton endangerment.
The incident occurred about 10 p.m. at a residence in the 3000 block of Bath Avenue, police said.
Kindt was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
Drugs
‰Natasha Walden, 37, of the 3100 block of Railroad Street, was arrested Wednesday on a felony drug-trafficking charge following a traffic stop in the 22200 block of Winchester Avenue.
According to the APD, Walden was observed driving in a reckless manner and appeared to be falling asleep behind the wheel of her vehicle. She was subsequently found to be under the influence of drugs and in possession of several types of pills and drug paraphernalia.
Walden also was charged with DUI, trafficking in marijuana and no operator’s license. She was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
‰Police said someone dumped two hydrogen chloride gas generators, which are commonly associated with methamphetamine labs, in a trash container in the 1600 block of the alley between Winchester and Greenup avenues. The devices were discovered on Tuesday.
Theft
‰An Arby’s district manager last week reported one of the Ashland location’s deposits, totaling $715.29, was missing.
‰A man on Monday reported a vehicle CD player and 11 CDs were stolen from his two unlocked vehicles parked on Third Circle Prospect.
‰A woman living in Hillcrest Apartments on Wednesday reported the theft of baby formula, disposable diapers, jeans, $60 cash, a cell phone charger and a food stamp card from her residence.
‰Byles Auto Parts, 2257 Greenup Ave., on Thursday reported someone had stolen all four wheels from its Ford Ranger company truck.
‰A woman living in the 2700 block of Terrace Boulevard on Tuesday reported the theft of a diamond solitaire ring valued at $6,000.
‰A resident of the 4200 block of Mound Street on Tuesday reported the theft of an Apple iPad from her residence.
Shoplifting
‰A 27-year-old Ashland man was arrested Tuesday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to steal merchandise valued at $14.

19-year-old launching one-man food drive, ‘Cans for a Cause’

His goal: to collect at least 10,000 pounds of canned food for River Cities Harvest to distribute to local nonprofits and churches that help feed the hungry.
