Thefts reported to APD

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Theft

‰A woman living in the 1700 block of Nervie Street on Thursday reported the theft of a stethoscope, laptop computer, Vera Bradley handbag, medical books, a wallet and cell phone chargers from her vehicle.

‰A man on Thursday reported someone had stolen his credit card and attempted to use it at Carter Avenue Beverage Center.

‰A woman living in the 3100 block of Lorraine Street on Wednesday reported the theft of a comestic bag and cosmetics from her residence.

Identity theft

‰A man on Wednesday reported someone had used his credit card information to make $385 in purchases from Walmart.

Shoplifting

‰Shamrock Liquors, 1117 13th st., on Thursday reported a man stuck two bottles of Crown Royal down his pants and left without paying for them.

  • Not guilty plea in death of Boyd baby

    A Powell County teenager accused in the beating death of an infant pleaded not guilty to the charge Friday.
    Brett T. Thompson, 18, of Stanton was arraigned Friday in Boyd County Court.
    Thompson has been indicted in the death of 2-month-old Alivia Noel Worstell of Westwood. He was the boyfriend of the baby’s mother, Heather Worstell, 19.
