ASHLAND —
Beginning in September, Community Hospice will launch a new series of monthly informational programs.
The series, “Info to Know,” is designed to appeal to the general public with a different topic of interest each month. Some programs will be related to hospice and/or health care, while other courses are designed to provide additional practical information.
The programs will be at Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., on the second Tuesday of each month and will be offered twice — at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
The program on Sept. 11 will feature Rhonda Cullop, Community Hospice’s registered pharmacist, discussing medications. Cullop will present information about when and how to take medications, drug interactions and the importance of medication compliance.
The session will also include a time for questions and answers.
Other programs will include:
‰Caregiving Tips, Oct. 9, presented by Mary Neill, Community Hospice’s assistant director of clinical services.
‰The Basics of Hospice Care, Nov. 13, presented by Dr. Lisa Barker, Community Hospice medical director.
‰Holiday Grief, Dec. 11, by Freda Romans and Jamie Green, Community Hospice bereavement counselors.
Reservations are requested and may be made by calling the agency at (606) 329-1890 or (800) 926-6184.
