The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Fleeing, evading
‰A Catlettsburg man was arrested early Sunday morning after he allegedly punched another man in the face, then fled from police.
Michael T. Clay, 23, was charged with first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and alcohol intoxication.
The incident occurred shortly before 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of Winchester Avenue.
Theft
‰Verity Middle School recently reported an Xbox 360 and accessories plus several Nintendo Wii accessories were stolen from a classroom during the summer recess.
‰A resident of the 4200 block of Mound Street on Friday reported the theft of a 24-inch mountain bike.
‰A man living in the 4200 block of Mound Street on Friday reported the theft of four Jaguar wheels, valued at $1,600, from the porch of his residence.
Burglary
‰A man living in the 3900 block of Putnam Street on Friday reported two pairs of sneakers and bottle of cologne, all valued at $275, were taken in a burglary at his residence.
‰A man Friday reported someone broke into a house he owns in the 1400 block of Nicholas Place, ransacked it and stole antique jewelry valued at $500.
‰A woman on Saturday reported someone stole power tools valued at $770 from an outbuilding at a vacant rental house in the 2900 block of Kemp Street she and her husband are remodeling.
Assault
‰A 50-year-old woman was arrested early Saturday morning on a misdemeanor assault charge after she allegedly stuck her boyfriend in the head with a frying pan during a domestic dispute in the 2800 block of Grace Street.
Shoplifting
‰A 30-year-old Russell woman was arrested last week at Walmart for allegedly trying to steal a 32-inch TV valued at $298. The woman also was charged with second- and third-degree drug possession and possession of a legend drug.
‰A 31-year-old Katy, W.Va., man was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to steal face powder and eye shadow valued at $15.20 from Walmart.

Not guilty plea in death of Boyd baby
A Powell County teenager accused in the beating death of an infant pleaded not guilty to the charge Friday.
Brett T. Thompson, 18, of Stanton was arraigned Friday in Boyd County Court.
Thompson has been indicted in the death of 2-month-old Alivia Noel Worstell of Westwood. He was the boyfriend of the baby’s mother, Heather Worstell, 19. -
