Louisa — The disappearance of a 15-year-old girl from Louisa has launched an investigation by Kentucky State Police in Ashland.

Candace Pennington of 133 Noah’s Landing was reported missing by her mother, Cindy Chaffins, on Saturday.

The mother said the teen was last seen at a neighbor’s home around 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Chaffins said her daughter has a history of being a runaway, but has never stayed away for more than a day.

Pennington was last seen wearing dark-colored boxer shorts and a tan tank top.

Trooper Mike Murriel is investigating the case.

Pennington has been entered into the national missing children’s database.

Those with information are asked to call the KSP at (877) 416-1208 or (606) 928-6421.
