Party to raise funds for charities

HUNTINGTON — Party on the Roof: A Star Spangled Celebration will raise funds for children’s health, benefiting the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Tri-State and Cabell Huntington Hospital’s Children’s Hospital Project.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. Saturday on top of Pullman Square Parking Garage on Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard. Individual tickets are $50 each and include a picnic dinner and dessert provided by Uno Chicago Grill and a prime view of downtown Huntington and Harris Riverfront Park. Prime parking is also available for $50.

The Oakwood Road Band will provide entertainment.

“The Ronald McDonald House and Cabell Huntington Hospital’s shared dedication to improving the lives of children and their families has brought us both together for this fabulous event,” said Tanyia Oakley, executive director of Ronald McDonald House Charities. “We plan to have a memorable celebration of our country, our community and our commitment to the health and well-being of our youth. We anticipate a wonderful turnout and promise good food, good music and lots of fun.”

“This will be a great celebration, and it will offer individuals and businesses the opportunity to support our efforts on behalf of children and their families,” said David Graley, vice president and COO of the Cabell Huntington Hospital Foundation. “We appreciate the sponsors who have already made commitments, and we look forward to receiving the support of the entire community.”

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Tri-State has served as a home away from home for more than 9,000 families of critically ill children across southern West Virginia, eastern Kentucky and southeastern Ohio for more than 20 years.
