The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰A resident of the 3600 block of Boy Scout Road reported the theft of tools and jewelry worth $3,207. The stolen items were pawned at area shops. Police have an accomplice, who they say obtained the victim’s bank card number and provided it to an accomplice, after which the two made multiple Western Union transactions to get cash.
‰A man told police his laptop computer was stolen from a vehicle somewhere in the east end of the city. He valued the computer at $445.
‰Boyd County Ford reported the theft of four tires and wheels and the license plate from a new pickup on its lot. The pickup was left on blocks.
‰A resident of the 3100 block of Simpson Road reported the theft of tools worth $400 from his residence.
‰Two in the 2400 block of Lexington Avenue reported thefts from their unlocked vehicles. Reported stolen were a portable DVD player, discs, a GPS unit, debit card and prescription sunglasses. The stolen items were valued at $580.
‰A resident of the 200 block of Carl Perkins Drive reported the theft of an iPhone worth $300. The victim reported being assaulted and the assailant took the phone.
‰A resident of the 1100 block of 29th Street reported the theft of a lawn mower from the rear of her residence.
Shopliftimg
‰Belk in the Ashland Town Center reported the theft of $335 worth of merchandise. Police arrested a suspect.
‰Walmart on Riverhill Drive reported theft of merchandise worth $105. Police arrested a suspect.
Burglary
‰A resident of the 2400 block of Adams Avenue reported the theft of a power saw and drill from his garage. The tools were valued at $180.
